Stewart Filmscreen introduced Microperforations with a primary goal of allowing audio emitted from speakers placed behind the screen to reach the viewer with a minute effect in audio or visual quality. With over 30,000 miniature holes per square foot of projection material, a Microperforated screen captivates audiences with a superb image and smooth flawless sound. Microperf X² consists of a unique perforation pattern that Stewart has been using for more than a decade with only slight modifications. Through extensive research and development, Stewart holds strong as industry leader providing a custom solution eliminating any so-called “Microperf Moiré”. Microperf X² performs above & beyond in both visual and sound quality during AB comparisons to woven screens and other acoustically treated projection materials available in today's A/V market. The vibrancy of an image shown on a woven screen suffers from cross reflection created by construction of the screen material itself. Essential to meet only the highest standards within the A/V industry, Stewart's strategically calculated perforation layout avoids compromising image or sound quality in any way. Microperf X² is the # 1 choice, providing the viewer up to 70% more brightness, higher resolution, superior color saturation, and excellent uniformity compared to all the others. Why Microperf X² is the industry's #1 choice for acoustically transparent material …

Stewart Filmscreen Receives International Grand Prix Award for StudioTek 130 G3 Screen Material |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Torrance, CA – January 30, 2008 - Stewart Filmscreen is proud to have received a Grand Prix Award from the Japanese publication HiVi for their StudioTek 130 G3 front projection screen. Thomas Stewart, CFO of Stewart Filmscreen, went to Japan to personally receive the award during a special awards ceremony attended by 135 of Japan's top audiovisual professionals. StudioTek 130 G3 still offers the same reference standard of reflectivity and needed gain as the previous version, however, the newer G3 version offers a smoother screen surface with significantly less granularity, providing superior performance with the latest 1080p projectors. HiVi praised StudioTek 130 G3 for its ability to take full advantage of 1080p resolutions with noticeably increased color saturation and detail. They found the G3 formulated screen, when compared with other screens, was able to display images with a higher dynamic range for pure white and black. "We are pleased with HiVi's recognition of our
StudioTek 130 G3 screen, which has also received an enthusiastic endorsement by
Joe Kane Productions,” said Grant Stewart, President of Stewart Filmscreen.
"With this new G3 optimization we have created what we believe will be the
defacto reference screen for 1080p (and beyond) projection systems." |
